I’m Omar Garcia, a San Diego identity designer and founder of OG Design Co., an independent practice specializing in logo design, visual identity, and brand identity systems.
Raised in Southern California, I was shaped by its vibrant colors, cultural diversity, and entrepreneurial spirit. As a kid, I studied the graffiti and hand-drawn letterforms I saw around the city, then sketched what I imagined the rest of the alphabet might look like. That early curiosity taught me to recognize the visual rules that make individual elements feel like part of a larger system.
With more than two decades of experience across branding, environmental graphics, wayfinding, large format graphics, and architectural signage, I understand how identity performs beyond the page. I consider how a brand communicates at scale, guides people through space, meets accessibility needs, and enters the built environment.
Today, I create clear and enduring identities for clients across sports, real estate, arts, and hospitality, including San Diego FC, Chula Vista Golf Course, and Bread & Salt. I also teach graphic design at San Diego City College and Southwestern College, helping emerging designers strengthen their craft and develop their own point of view.
