Omar Garcia is an identity designer and founder of OG Design Co., a San Diego–based studio specializing in branding, logo design, and visual identity systems. Raised in Southern California, he was inspired by vibrant colors, cultural diversity, and an entrepreneurial spirit. What began as sketching famous logos in schoolbooks became a career creating distinctive, enduring identities for clients across industries, including sports organizations, real estate firms, arts institutions, and hospitality brands—work that balances timeless design principles with modern relevance.

His portfolio includes collaborations with the MLS club San Diego FC, Chula Vista Golf Course, and Bread & Salt—San Diego’s largest contemporary arts venue. Omar’s branding approach emphasizes simplicity, clarity, and cultural resonance, ensuring every mark connects deeply with its intended audience. His owl mark is a nod to the ancient wisdom of his ancestors, a reminder that great design uncovers something timeless and unique.

In addition to running OG Design Co., Omar teaches graphic design at San Diego City College and Southwestern College, mentoring the next generation of designers in the craft of visual storytelling. When he’s not in front of his screen, he’s searching for the perfect cup of coffee and pan dulce to enjoy by the lake with his wife.
